Click to EnlargeThe Davies family arrived in New Zealand in April 2001. Prior to starting his business "Welshy Digger Hire", Welshy had 15 years experience in contracting and rural operations which he gained from Wales.

After working locally for an electricity provider and an irrigation firm he put his experience to use by starting his own company. Soon after developing Welshy Digger Hire Ltd in Mid Canterbury - Ashburton, Welshy obtained the title of Canterbury Digger Operator of the Year in 2003.

Through the support of the local community, Welshy has provided his expertise and services to a list of jobs that he describes as endless. The increased fleet and staff allow Welshy Digger Hire to perform a wider range of tasks, ensuring that when a client phones Welshy. he and his team can look after the entire job, from start to finish.
